We specialise in different methods of stripping subject to wood type.
We use hot caustic dipping for soft woods pine and neutralise after stripping to prevent the caustic salts continuing to work and damaging the joints, leaching through finishes and rotting the wood in the future.
We use non-caustic chemical stripping for hardwoods such as oak, ash, elm, walnut, beach and mahogany.
Hardwood items should never be caustic dipped because it will damage the wood.
We use a concentrated paint stripper that is non-caustic. It is safe and does not damage the joints or the effect the colour of the wood.
